For the earth will be filled
with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.

Habakkuk 2:14

What does that look like in a city? What would it look like for the knowledge of glory of God to fill Stockholm? There are probably several ways to think about this but here’s one way.

In a large and growing city like Stockholm, public transport plays an important role in everyday life. The idea is that no matter where you live you can access the city. You can get to a place where you can work, live and play.

The transport system covers (or fills if you like) the city. So what would this look like for a church? That in every neighbourhood there is a group of followers of Jesus who are committed to their area by loving the people there and helping them to follow Jesus too. That starts with one home or cafe in every station stop (153 of them) connecting people to the people of God, the message of God and the grace of God.

We’re committed not just to the centre but to the city – wherever that takes us. We want there to be lights all over the city of Stockholm.
